EXPerimental unit 1 è uno strumento musicale che incorpora una batteria elettronica a 10 strumenti, una bassline di sapore vintage, un pianoforte dance oriented, un sintetizzatore virtual analog e uno step sequencer a 16 passi dotato di traccia ausiliaria per la gestione di strumenti esterni.

L’apparecchio può essere alimentato a batteria ed è autoamplificato, per poter suonare ovunque; in aggiunta, si possono installare le porte USB e MIDI opzionali (Xpansion 1) per l’interfacciamento veloce con altri apparecchi. La tastiera switch di bordo permette la programmazione di arpeggi, l’esecuzione live e la programmazione del sequencer. Una seconda espanzione Xpansion 2 contiene tre potenziometri per il controllo del bass filter, master volume, treble filter.
